Suitable for use INTENSIVE (20pcs+/sqm) and MODIFIED
EXTENSIVE/ SEMI-INTENSIVE (5-20 pcs/sqm) shrimp ponds and in shrimp HATCHERIES.
Administration:
Calculate inclusion levels for Aqua-Media and Aqua-1, Aqua-2, Aqua-3 and Aqua-4 using instructions overleaf.
Activate product using the method below. e.g. For a 15 mgl (1ha x 1.5m) Intensive pond (20pcs/sqm) the following inclusion levels apply:
Take 2L of 40° hand hot purified water.
(i.e. previously boiled or chlorinated at 2-4ppm) and add 130g of VITA-PRO AQUA-MEDIA. Stir vigorously.
Immediately add 50ml of spores of Aqua-1, Aqua-2, Aqua-3 or Aqua-4.
Make up to 20L by adding 18L of purified water (i.e. water previously boiled or chlorinated at 2 - 4ppm). Stir vigorously.
Leave to ferment overnight.
Mix with food or spray into pond.
Shrimp Aquaculture Production
Recommended to be used continuously prior to stocking of ponds in "closed" systems (water exchange not exceeding 20%).
Dosage should be calculated based on pond size and stocking density of pond.
Prevention Programme
Aqua-1 should be added 7 days prior to stocking of shrimp after pond preparation.
Aqua-2 should be added 1 day prior to stocking of the shrimp etc. (see table below)

Disease Programme
Where there is a high risk of disease outbreaks in the local area, the frequency of administration should be increased to every two days.
The frequency may then be gradually reduced back to the PREVENTION PROGRAMME rate when the disease risk is reduced.

HATCHERY
Shrimp Hatchery Production
Suitable for use in all stages of PL production including nauplii, zoeae, myses and
PLs.
Recommended to be used continuously in "closed" systems (water exchange not exceeding 40%).
Dosages should be calculated based on tank size.
Calculate inclusion levels for Aqua-Media and Aqua-1, Aqua-2, Aqua-3 and Aqua-4 using Table 3.
Activate Aqua-Media using Methodology.
Prevention Programme
The first administration of Aqua-1 should take place after tank preparation, one day prior to stocking of shrimp. For a 5000 litre (5 tonne) tank the following administration applies:
