A clear colourless to pale yellow, sterile injectable solution. For the treatment of acute hypocalcaemia in cows and ewes (puerpal paresis, milk fever) and acute hypomagnesaemia in cattle (grass tetany). 

Composition:

Dosage: 
By slow intravenous injection, ie. an infusion time of at least 5 minutes should be respected. This product is not suitable for subcutaneous administration.
As a guide the following amounts may be used:

Contra-indications and Warnings:
The solution should be injected slowly to prevent heart block from sudden high calcium levels. The animal's pulse rate and heart function should be monitored during administration by a veterinarian.

If cardiac irregularities develop, administration should be stopped immediately. Due to it's pharmacological interactions, in normal therapy it should not be administered together with cardiac glycosides, sympathomimetics, methylxanthines, aminoglygoside antibiotics and tetracyclines.

This product should be administered only by the intravenous route. If possible, the solution should be warmed up near to body temperature. Asceptic precautions should be observed such as using a sterile needle and syringe and disinfect the closure of the flask prior to use. Do not mix with other drugs.
