A broad spectrum anthelmintic for the treatment of pigs infected with mature and immature nematode roundworms of the gastro-intestinal tract.

It is also an aid in the control of lungworms and kills roundworm eggs as follows:-

Hyostrongylus rubidis (red stomach worms), Trichuris suis (whipworms)
Oesopagostomum spp. (nodular worms), Metastrongylus apri (lungworms)
Ascaris suum (eel worm).

Composition:

Dosage & Administration:
Pigs:
Standard dose rate is 5mg fenbendazole per kg bodyweight.
Hunter 4 Premix is a suitable herd medication for all pigs or individual medication of pigs over 75kg bodyweight.
All methods of treatment are equally effective.
Routine Treatment - Herd Medication
Hunter 4 Premix may be given in feed to pigs either as a single dose or by divided doses over 7 days. It may also be administered to sows over a period of 14 days.

Routine Treatment - Individual Medication
Hunter 4 Premix may be added to a feed for individual pigs at a rate of 9.375g (one measure) premix, sufficient to treat one pig of 150kg bodyweight.

| Sows: |
Treat before entering farrowing
accommodation and again at weaning in order to maintain the sow's condition and reduce risk of infection to her piglets. |
| Boars: |
Treat every 6 months. |
| Growing & Finishing Pigs: |
Treat weaners on purchase or on movement to finishing house. Where the risk of ascariasis (Milk Spot Liver) is high, repeat treatment monthly. |
| Whole Herd: |
Treat all adult and young stock simultaneously every 6 months to minimise risk of re-infestation at the same time as taking careful attention to environmental hygiene. |
| Outdoor: |
Treat pigs before moving onto clean grazing if available. |
Poultry:
Standard dose rate is 8mg fenbendazole per kg bodyweight.
Hunter 4 Premix may be given in feed to poultry either as a single dose or divided doses for 3 or 6 days.

Operation Precautions
Feed mixers or mill hands should wear protective gloves and filtering masks.
Wash hands etc. after work.
Dispose of used containers (and unused medicated food) safely.
Other Precautions
To ensure thorough mixing, Hunter 4 should first be mixed with 2.5kg of feed for every tonne of medicated feed being made. This should then be incorporated with remaining feed.
Medicated feed may be pelleted after preconditioning with steam at temperatures not exceeding 75°C.
Do not add to liquid feeds or supplements.
Hunter 4 should remain stable in feed for 3 months.
Keep out of the reach of children.
