A dark brown sterile aqueous colloidal solution for injection. For the prevention of anaemia by iron deficiency in piglets and calves and of all its consequences.

Composition: (per ml)

Iron (as Iron Dextran) 100mg

Excipients up to 1ml

Dosage & Administration:

By deep intramuscular injection.

Piglets: one injection of 2ml of Dextran 10 on the 3rd day of life. If necessary, on veterinarians advice, a second injectin of 2ml may be administered in quickly growing piglets after the 35th day of life.

Calves: 4-12ml during the 1st week, if necessary to be repeated at 4 to 6 weeks of age.

Warnings:

Do not administer to animals with Vitamin E / Selenium deficiency.

Do not administer to animals with diarrhoea

Do not administer with tetracyclines due to their interaction with iron.
