Norfloxacin is a broad spectrum antimicrobial, bactericidal in action and effective against a wide range of gram positive and gram negative bacteria as well as mycoplasmas. 

For use in poultry and crustaceans.
 
In turkeys, broilers, broiler breeders and replacement chickens it is indicated for diseases of the respiratory and alimentary tract of bacterial and mycoplasma origin, (e.g. pasteurellosis, mycoplasmosis, col-bacillosis, coli septicaemia and salmonellosis). 

In crustaceans it is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by Vibrio, i.e. V. Parahaemolyticus, V. Alginolyticus, V. Angillarum, V. Harveyi, also Pseudomonas spp., Aeromonas spp. and mycoplasmas.

Where possible, use sensitivity testing to confirm Anflox Gold as the product of choice.

Dosage & Administration:

Poultry:  

Anflox Gold is administered via the drinking water. 

Medicated water should be made up immediately prior to provision. Medicated water should be supplied continuously throughout the treatment period and no other water should be made available. 

The dosage rate is 12mg norfloxacin per kilo bodyweight, for 3-5 days; under normal circumstances this equates to a dose of 25ml Anflox Gold per 100 litres of drinking water.

Crustaceans:  

Administer via the feed. 

The dosage rate is 12mg norfloxacin per kilo biomass; this equates to 1-1.5 litres of Anflox Gold per 1000 kilo of feed.

Warnings:
Avoid using with other medications. 

Can be used with water soluble vaccines.
