A stable sterile aqueous solution containing the equivalent of 200mg oxytetracycline base per ml.
Ancomycin 200 LA is a broad spectrum antibiotic and its use is indicated in the prolonged treatment and prevention of infections by oxytetracycline-sensitive organisms, (e.g. Streptococci, Staphylococci, Anthracoids, Pasteurellae, Salmonellae, Clostridia, Coliform bacteria, Corynebacteriae and Erysipeltrix).
Also effective against some Mycoplasmas, Rickettsiae and Protozoa. I.M. application achieves rapid high blood levels that are maintained for 3 to 5 days.

Dosage & Administration:
The recommended dosage rate is 20mg/kg bodyweight
(1ml per 10kg bodyweight) applied by deep intramuscular injection.
Divide and inject at more than one site if dose exceeds:-
| Cattle: | 20ml |
| Pigs: | 10ml |
| Sheep: | 5ml |
Following withdrawal of first dose use product within 28 days.
Discard unused material.
Contra-indications / Warnings:
General toxicity is low although collapse has been reported with tetracycline in weak and debilitated animals .
The use of tetracycline during the period of tooth development, including late pregnancy, may lead to tooth discolouration.
Not for use in ewes producing milk for human consumption.
Do not dilute.
If concurrent treatment is administered use a separate injection site.
Ancomycin 200 LA is not recommended for use in horses, dogs and cats.
